Check-in starts at 3:00 PM. Check-out is by 11:00 AM. Late check-out may be available on request and may incur an additional charge.

All registered guests must be at least 21 years old and must present valid government-issued photo identification at check-in. A valid, signed credit card in the registered guest’s name is required at check-in for room charges and incidentals.

All reservations must be guaranteed by a major credit card at the time of booking. The card on file authorizes us to charge the first night’s room and tax in the event of a no-show or late cancellation.

Reservations may be cancelled without charge up to 72 hours before arrival. Cancellations made within the 72-hour window will be charged the first night’s room rate plus applicable tax.

Group bookings and extended-stay reservations may have different cancellation terms; these are confirmed at the time of booking.

If a guest does not arrive and has not cancelled by the deadline, the first night’s room rate plus tax will be charged to the credit card on file. The remainder of the reservation is released.

At check-in we collect the registered guest’s name, address, phone number, and signature. We also record vehicle information for the property parking log.

Children under 5 years old stay free when accompanying a registered adult and using existing bedding. Additional guests beyond standard occupancy are $10 per person per night and must be registered at the front desk.

We accept all major credit cards and cash. A valid credit card is required on file even for cash-paying guests, to cover potential incidentals. All rates are subject to 9% Maine lodging tax.

Standard occupancy is 2 guests in king and queen rooms, and 4 guests in two-double rooms. No room keys are issued to anyone under 21. Unregistered guests are not permitted to stay overnight.

Visitors of registered guests are welcome until 9:00 PM. Visitors must be accompanied by the registered guest and may not use property amenities or Wi-Fi. No parties, loud disturbances, or noise nuisances are permitted.

Saffron Inn is a pet-free property. A penalty of $250 will be charged to any guest bringing pets onto the property without authorization.

Service animals under the ADA are welcome. Trained service animals accompanying guests with disabilities are permitted in all guest rooms and public areas without additional fees, in compliance with federal law. Please notify the front desk at check-in so we can accommodate any specific needs.

Saffron Inn is a smoke-free property. A penalty of $250 will be charged for smoking in non-smoking rooms (which is every room). Smoking is permitted only in designated outdoor areas, at least 50 feet from any guest-room entrance.

Smoking or use of marijuana or cannabis in any form is strictly prohibited anywhere on the property, including inside rooms, balconies, hallways, and parking areas. Violation carries the same $250 penalty and possible eviction without refund.

Guests are responsible for any damage to the room or property during their stay. Deep-cleaning fees and administrative charges apply for rooms left in unreasonable condition.

Bringing unauthorized cooking appliances (hot plates, grills, deep fryers, etc.) into rooms is prohibited for fire-safety reasons and carries a minimum $300 fee.

Quiet hours are 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Please be mindful of neighboring guests — many of our long-stay visitors work rotating shifts.

Free self-parking is provided at room entrances. The hotel is not responsible for loss or damage to vehicles or their contents. Unregistered vehicles may be towed at the owner’s expense.

Please do not leave cash, traveler’s checks, jewelry, or other valuables unattended. The hotel assumes no liability for lost or stolen items.
