When you book a room or contact us, we collect what we need to host you well: your name, contact information (email, phone), arrival and departure dates, and the payment information needed to guarantee your reservation.
When you visit this website, our hosting provider records standard server logs — IP address, browser, referring page — for security and basic traffic analysis. We do not run third-party advertising trackers.
2. How we use it
We use your information to confirm your reservation, prepare your room, contact you about your stay, and comply with Maine lodging-tax and guest-registration requirements.
Once a year — at most — we may send a quiet email about seasonal rates if you have stayed with us before. You can opt out at any time. We do not sell your information.
3. Who we share with
Reservation data is shared with our booking engine and payment processor so they can authorize your card and hold the room. We share only what those services need to do their jobs.
We do not share your information with marketing third-parties. We disclose information when legally required (subpoena, court order, regulatory request).
4. Cookies & analytics
This site uses minimal first-party cookies for functionality. We may use server-side analytics to understand which pages people read; this records aggregate numbers, not personally identifying data.
Most browsers let you block or clear cookies. Doing so should not break the site.
5. Your rights
You can ask us to tell you what we have on file about you, correct it, delete it where we are not legally required to keep it, or stop emailing you. Email saffroninnme@gmail.com with your request.
We try to respond within 30 days. We do not charge for these requests.
6. Data retention
We keep reservation records as long as we need them for tax and compliance reasons — typically seven years — then destroy them. Email correspondence is kept until it is no longer useful, then deleted.
